The project is to purchase, remodel, and equip either a "low boy" type city bus or an airport 20-25 passenger bus for a safe respite center for Chaplains and first responders in disasters. The vehicle will need to have two-four bunks, moderate food services (refrigerator, microwave, and stove), sanitation facilities (inside and outside shower), communications equipment such as high/low and HAM radios, and several laptop/notepad computers. It is more essential than ever to be self contained than ever before in emergency response. This vehicle would also serve as a point of contact for pastoral care, family assistance, and Sunday services. It would also serve as a counseling/prayer center.
