Christ Commission for Romania

John and Viorica Dolinschi report in their latest newsletter that they wanted to highlight an outreach ministry that hasn't been mentioned much by them in the past. This is about feeding the hungry kids, widows, and elders in the church planting ministry they do in Romania. They run these special outreach programs when they first arrive in a place where the Lord has directed them. They build a heavenly rescuing station among the people. They have seen that this work is highly favored by the Lord as He provides miraculously the food and the meals, in the times when no funds are set aside to do it. This is when something unexpectedly happens.

In the Philadelphia church of Urziceni, which is a mother church for other new planted churches in the area located in the south-east of Romania, there is the "Filadelfia" Eating Hall project. Currently, they feed about 50 people every Tuesday and Thursday.

Testimony brought by Pastor Milo Novacovici, translated by John Dolinschi:  Pastor Milo Novacovici who oversees a large region of new planted churches reports from the area by the Danube River across the Serbian border. Until now this region was overlooked both spiritually and economically, where poverty itself dwells. This area is decades behind the rest of Romania. In each of its villages, the feeding program reaches about thirty people at a time. Regularly, they serve about 300 kids, 100 widows, the disabled, and the very poor. One couple, Florin and Diana and their little kids were hungry and were seriously looking to receive an answer of the meaning of living their lives. They were robbed of joy and suffered many shortages. They started to seek in different places to receive help. They went to witch doctors, to alcohol, and to the Orthodox church, always looking to increase their material life. In the end they were trapped in a deep, long tunnel with no light to find their way out, so they were desperate and became depressed. On a Sunday morning this family took a walk together just for refreshing and the Lord's hand directed them to the church meeting place. They saw a little cross on a small one room building and watched a few people go in. In that moment they felt this may be their last hope in the search of their own life, and felt someone pushing them toward the gate, and the pastor just came outside and saw them looking for the door inside the church. He welcomed them in. At the end of the service they said that this was the thing that they were looking for. They said their search was a long time, but they found it; they were on the brim of death, desperate with suicidal thoughts, but now in the service felt a comforting hand all around, touching them. They said they felt the old garbage and junk coming out from them, and something new unspeakable like sweetness filling them, and for the first time in life, they were really fulfilled and happy. They said it happened to both of them at the same time...This miracle of salvation happened with no special invitation to come up front and pray for them, but before the pastor could even try to help them, they stood up and confessed of being saved and freed. What followed was just to bless them and thank the Lord for His very presence, for the gift of deliverance and salvation. They followed up and covered them with love and prayers. Together, this couple committed to be back because in their long search they found the treasure. They are now always the first ones to show up for the church services.
