What Does My Money Do?

Posted on: Jan 23, 2012

The above question is a legitimate question for everyone of our members to ask. What does my $200 annual membership dues really do? Thought you would never ask.

First of all none of the Executive leaders of WME receive any compensation. All of us work on a volunteer basis because we believe that a fellowship such as ours has great value both to ministers personally and to the church and kingdom globally. Here is just ONE of the most significant benefits of WME membership dues. Every penny that is given to missions goes to missions and to the missionaries. Not one cent is deducted for administrative costs or handling. This is a powerful incentive for churches, pastors, missionaries, businessmen and women to become a part of WME.

Your membership dues enable us to keep open an office that is literally a beehive of activity on a daily basis maintaining connectivity, pastoral care, and now through electronic media (visit our new website at WMEINC.ORG) we are providing daily encouragement and ministry to God’s servants all over the world.

Because of our history, experience, and contacts worldwide we know who the people are and what they are doing with these special love gifts. An example of what I am talking about is a businessman who connected with a new church building in Mexico and during 2011 gave over a $150,000 toward this project. In one sense your $200 created an opportunity for a gift of over $150,000 to world missions. Wow! This is just one example. I believe the “Market Place and Missions Connection” that we are developing will continue to grow. You made this possible!

So, it is time for renewals and our renewals are ahead of schedule over last year. I hope you will do so today. Your investment has an impact all over the world!  You can renew on line, by mail or by phone. I hope to hear from you today.

About Our Chairman

Kemp Holden and his wife Carol were married in 1964 and formed a powerful ministry team preaching the gospel not only in the United States but soon their passion for missions would take them to the island of Jamaica where they founded and built a church and a school on the north coast. Soon after returning to the U.S., they felt God calling them to Fort Smith, Arkansas where they built Harvest Time Tabernacle. They watched those small beginnings grow to one of the largest churches in the region with not only a local focus but a global impact. After 38 years as senior pastor, having mentored his successor, Pastor Marty Sloan, he led the transition and passed the baton to the new senior pastor. Pastor Holden now serves as Pastor Emeritus of Harvest Time where he and his family attend.
